Castagnols is a hamlet standing at an altitude of 800 m in the central zone of the Cévennes National Park, in the south-east of the Lozère, between Alès, Mende, Florac and Genolhac. It offers a very mild climate, thanks to a Mediterranean influence. The warm Mediterranean summers are tempered by the region's altitude and rich vegetation. Access by car or train (Genolhac station is
15 km away and there are many taxis available for the transfer to Castagnols).

A welcoming wave of chestnut and holm oaks open the gateway to the Cévennes. You can explore the mysterious, constantly evolving and unspoilt countryside along a rich network of paths and trails. Bubbling rivers offer an inviting opportunity for a refreshing pause and unforgettable moments of relaxation. From the peaks of the Cévennes hills the view is astounding, a beautiful succession of blue hills rolling down towards the coastline.
